What a life saver. A key, long-term employee resigned and I had to find a replacement in a hurry. I posted the job, poured through resumes and scheduled interviews. Then I pulled out our employment application and realized how outdated it was. Ugh, it was asking all the things we shouldn’t be asking. A quick online search resulted in more frustration. So I did what I should have done in the first place and called Katherine. I received my new up to date and totally compliant employment application that same day and well in time for my first batch of interviews the next morning. A sign of a good lawyer is not just knowing the law…that is given...but a combination of things: sense of ethics, professionalism, guts, candor, sincerity. Katherine has all of these qualities and more. I went against Katherine when she was a defense attorney for a very prestigious defense firm. I normally don't say this about too many defense lawyers, but I was very impressed with Katherine. She was tough, but polite and professional at the same time. There were couple of other defense lawyers, as the case was against multiple defendants, and none of those guys could hold their weight next to Katherine.
In fact, I had to be super careful and focus with her.
